Gamers go on a campaign to chart unknown reaches of space and guild their fleet of ships through real-time combat in Ancient Space. Completing mission objectives and collecting resources lets players build and upgrade ships, reveals new plot details, and opens up new areas to explore. There are a variety of ships for gamers to strategically deploy when protecting key assets, going on escort missions, using stealth, and battling pirates and hostile aliens. Players can also choose three officers with special abilities before each mission and recruit new crew members as the story advances.
